On to more mundane things:
Bought a moleskin notebook on Monday. Everywhere I read about keeping an art journal eventually recommended them, so, I caved. And I am glad I did, even if it cost me $16 I shouldn’t have spent. Since Monday I have filled 13 pages with a bit of rambling, a lot of doodling, with a few decent sketches thrown in the mix. Yay, productivity.
I am working on expanding my medium horizons. Yesterday I did a few test pages with watercolors and india ink, to varying degrees of success. The watercolors were beautiful, as long as I was extremely light on the water, otherwise it beaded up and spotted like crazy. Lots of practice left on that front. The india ink turned out a bit better, with the red starring much higher in my eyes than the black. It just popped from the page, very similar to tattoo ink.
Nothing amazing to report today. Oh, lots of snow. Blah.
